Hangcha designed the X Series Electric Lithium-ion Tow Tractor with operator security in mind. By using an integrated chassis design, effective brake design, integrated LED lights, and an OPS System, operators are able to work safely and effectively.

• The X Series Electric Lithium-ion Tow Tractor features an integrated lithium-ion design. This means that the lithium-ion battery pack and key component placement can be optimized to prioritize operator comfort, service access, and platform stability. The low battery placement lowers the truck center of gravity which increases truck stability.
• The integrated design allows for the optimization of battery and key component placement to create a more stable and comfortable operating experience.
• The front and rear wheels are equipped with brakes which allows for stable stopping power when towing. An electric parking brake is also equipped so the tow tractor will remain stopped when the parking brake is engaged.
• Integrated LED head lights, turn signal lights, and taillights are equipped for operational safety in low light environments.
• The X Series features our Operator Presence Sensing System (OPS). When an operator leaves the tow tractor, the travel functions will not function. In addition, an alarm will sound if the operator leaves the seat without setting the parking brake. This increases operator and employee security.

Designed around a 40V or 80V system (depending on the model), the X Series Electric Lithium-ion Tow Tractor provides users with an energy saving and efficient alternative to similarly spec’d traditional lead-acid powered tow tractors.

• The X Series Electric Lithium-ion Tow Tractor features an efficient high-torque electric motor to significantly improve the tow tractor’s travel speed and gradeability.
• The 40V/80V AC control system manages energy more efficiently. Combined with the large lithium-ion battery, operators can use the tow tractor for extended periods of time.
• The drive unit is placed horizontally and uses a special speed reducer with a large speed reduction ratio to increase the tow tractor’s towing efficiency.
• The electrical control system and electrical components are placed together in the chassis to provide an integrated and highly efficient setup.
• The main electrical components are all placed in one area of the chassis to create an efficient design.

• Integrated Battery Management System (BMS) continually monitors energy management and ensures reliable operation.

• The tow tractor features a Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) battery pack doesn’t require any regular maintenance performed on the battery pack.

• The newly designed tow tractor features easy access, charging port on the right side to provide operators with a convenient way to charge the tow tractor.

• The X Series Electric Lithium-ion Tow Tractor is able to charge in under 2 hours (with the standard battery) from full discharge, or can be opportunity charged during breaks for extended run.

• The rear platform provides easy access to the electrical control system. This system is designed to be cooled by forced air cooling to ensure the reliability of the system.
• The brushless AC motor is maintenance-free and significantly reduces operating costs thanks to the AC power system’s efficiency.
• The LED Instrument panel allows for parameters to be easily changed to match the performance needed in the operational environment. The instrument panel also displays system faults to allow for easy maintenance.
